  3. REMS Board Open At-Large Seats
    The REMS Council Board of Directors will have three at-large positions open in June 2012.  These board positions will serve a three-year term and are open to applicants who reside or work in the EMS and/or healthcare field within the Council service area to include the Counties of Caroline, Culpeper, Fauquier, King George, Orange, Rappahannock, Spotsylvania, Stafford, Town of Colonial Beach and City of Fredericksburg.  Nominations or interested applicants should submit electronically to rems@vaems.org a letter of intent accompanied with a resume no later than June 11, 2012.  The Board of Directors, who will select by vote the individuals to fill the vacant seats at our Annual Meeting of Elections on June 20, 2012, will review all resumes.
  4. CISM Suicide Prevention, Intervention & Post-Vention Training
    The Rappahannock CISM Team is sponsoring a Suicide Prevention, Intervention & Post-Vention Training class Saturday June 2nd and Sunday June 3rd, 8am to 5pm each day.  This course is open to anyone who wishes to learn more about intervening across the suicide spectrum.  Professionals from the fields of Business and Industry Crisis Intervention, Disaster Response, Education, Emergency Services, Employee Assistance, Healthcare, Homeland Security, Mental Health, Military, Spiritual Care and Traumatic Stress and for CISM Team Membership.  Cost is $120 and continuing education credits will be given.  Completion of this class and receipt of a certificate indicating full attendance (14 contact hours) qualifies as a class in ICISF's Certificate of Specialized Training Program.  Contact the council office at 540-373-0249 or rems@vaems.org for more information and registration.
